A Toast to Our Hosts

We had a wonderful week in Eau Claire that began with understanding our ‘sense of place’ from authors Michael Perry, Jerry Apps and John Hildebrand at the Wisconsin Writers Forum held at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center and hosted by Wisconsin Public Radio’s, Alan Ross.

We continued our week of programming at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library where the Tour exhibit stayed for the month of May. Many area authors came for the Meet and Mingle following the Writers Forum, including Perry, Apps and Hildebrand along with Travis Dewitz, Jim Draeger, Marnie Mamminga, Robert Bingell, Marla Madison, Joe Niese, Rebecca Oatman, Gary Porter, Katherine Schneider, Ph.D., Mary E. Strand and CeCelia Zorn, Ph.D.

We saw a bible from 1816 at Your Stuff, Your Story and made Mary Nohl-inspired head sculptures and on Thursday we headed down to The Joynt for History Happy Hour.

In addition to our wonderful program hosts we also thank the Chippewa Valley Museum and Special Collections at the McIntyre Library at UW- Eau Claire for partnering with us on the exhibit.

Thanks Eau Claire! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
